Description

Social Security by Andrew Bergman is a sharp, laugh-out-loud comedy about Barbara and David Kahn, a New York couple who already have their hands full— until Barbara’s unpredictable, scene-stealing mother, Sophie, enters their lives and turns everything upside down. What begins as a well-intentioned act of family duty quickly snowballs into romantic surprises, marital mayhem, and one wholly unexpected love affair. Packed with rapid-fire dialogue, outrageous situations, and big comic personalities, the play delivers a hilarious look at love, marriage, aging parents, and the glorious chaos that erupts when everyone’s personal boundaries disappear.
